Important Bits & F.A.Q

Dance & Movement

Do I have to show my belly?

There is no need to wear clothing that shows your belly.  It's not required.   If you are someone who wants to show and embrace your belly, do what works and feels good your you.

Footwear.

Most sessions are done barefoot but, if you prefer you can wear socks, dance shoes, dance/jazz sneaker depending on the session you are undertaking.

The basics to get your start

Bring a water bottle,  towel for when you glow, a smile, your curiosity, a notebook and, a pen if you want to writr something down at the beginning or end of your session.

Finally,  bring a have a go attitude and your sense of humour.  A good loud belly laugh and giggle may occur at any time!

Accessorizing fun.

If you feel inspired you may decide to add extra colour, bling, sparkle, or something delicious to support your journey and reflect you.   As long as it doesn’t restrict movement or impact what you are doing in session, go for it!

Those participating in a dance session may want to play with wrapping a shawl, hip scarf, or sarong around their hips. Your hips are gorgeous, get to know and celebrate them.   Perhaps a flower or clip in your hair is your vibe.

You may need some props or something in particular for some session.  Bring it along if you have your own. There are some to borrow when attending in person sessions. Just let us know prior to your session.

If you are attending online via zoom don’t let that stop you!  There will be lots of creative options to utilise what you may have at home. If you want to invest in something let us know and we can direct you to resources and options for your consideration.   All information your need is provided in your welcome pack and there are lots of opportunities to discuss in our private Facebook group too.

In some sessions you may be asked to bring along a mat or blanket for laying on, a cushion, or a bolster to sit on.  You don’t need to buy anything expensive.  You will be provided with lots of tips about what you can use and adapt from items you have in your home.  For in person sessions, I have some equipment you can borrow.
